Elevate your game with a training session designed to transform your potential into performance. Whether you are looking to refine your mechanics at the plate or sharpen your command on the mound, Coach Book brings a sharp, analytical eye and a passion for the game to every lesson. Once in the facility, lessons are backed by TrackMan data — helping build a customized development plan for each player.
BATTLE LAB
The Battle Lab is the premier training environment at By the Book Baseball, designed to bridge the gap between raw talent and elite performance. Integrating professional-grade TrackMan and high-speed camera systems with the combined expertise of analytics lead Matt Gephart and Coach Book, the Battle Lab turns swings and pitches into actionable insights. We document the exact details that college scouts and MLB teams care about — spin rate, true break, pitch shape — and build a customized, phased improvement plan backed by objective metrics.
WEEKEND CLINICS
Master every aspect of the game with a comprehensive, high-intensity training experience covering all facets of the sport. Expert staff and rotating guest instructors guide station-based training for hitting, pitching, defense, and baserunning. Many sessions are age-specific to ensure athletes receive the right focus for their developmental stage. Youth Coaches Clinics are also offered as part of the weekend series, sharing proven methodologies to help coaches develop their own teams.
CAGE RENTALS
Reserve a professional-grade tunnel and get to work. Our cages are built for serious reps — full-length, fully netted, and available to individuals, teams, and programs by the hour or as part of any membership. Machines, L-screens, and tees included.
TRACKMAN PITCH TRACKING
Every pitch tracked, every rep measured. TrackMan gives you the same data the pros train with — velocity, spin rate, movement profiles, and release metrics in real time. Session reports are available for coaches and recruiters, and development is tracked over weeks and months, not guesses.
WEIGHT ROOM
A fully equipped strength and conditioning space designed for baseball athletes — open to all members during facility hours. Built around rotational power, arm care, and athletic movement, with power racks, dumbbells to 120 lbs, a dedicated turf sprint lane, and arm-care and mobility stations.
BIOMETRIC SCREENING
Know your baseline. Our screening process tracks health, mobility, and physical development over time so training is built around your body — not a template. Results are tracked season over season and directly inform your training plan.
TEAM AND LEAGUE HOSTING
A professional home base for your travel squad, league, or tournament program. We host travel teams, tournaments, and leagues throughout the season with the space and scheduling flexibility to match your program. TrackMan is available for full team sessions and priority scheduling is offered to partner programs.

By The Book Baseball was founded by two guys who know the game inside and out. Based in the heart of Lancaster County and rooted in the Lampeter-Strasburg community, we built this facility because we saw a gap — players and coaches who were serious about development but didn't have a professional-grade space to train in.
This isn't just a rental facility. It's a system. From pitch tracking to movement assessments, every service we offer is designed to work together so players can train smarter, develop faster, and step onto the field with confidence.
